Cache Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 25, 2026
This policy explains what the Cache: Habit Rewards app ("Cache", "the app") does with your information. Cache is made by Blake Overstreet ("we", "us").
The short version
- Your Cache data stays on your device and, if you use iCloud, in your own private iCloud account.
- You don't need an account, and we never see your habits, rewards or progress.
- We don't collect personal information, use tracking, show ads or sell data.
- Purchases are handled entirely by Apple.
What the app stores, and where
Cache saves the following on your device and, if you're signed in to iCloud, in your own private iCloud account:
- Habits you create, their settings, steps and weekly goals
- Completions, streaks, points, belts and your weekly haul
- Rewards you write, their rarity, and your reward history
- App preferences, such as style, theme and reminders
Apart from syncing to your own iCloud, this information never leaves your device unless you choose to export it. If you use Export Data, the file goes wherever you send it, and what happens next is up to you and that service.
iCloud sync: if you're signed in to iCloud, Cache keeps your data in sync across your devices using your own private iCloud storage. Apple stores this data in your iCloud account under Apple's privacy policy, and we can't see or access it. If you're not signed in to iCloud, or turn iCloud off for Cache, your data stays only on that device.
Reminders are scheduled by your device's notification system. Device backups: if you back up your iPhone with iCloud or a computer, Apple may include Cache's data in that backup, under Apple's own privacy policy.
What we don't collect
We don't collect your name, email, location, contacts, health data or device identifiers. Cache has no account system, no analytics, no advertising and no third-party tracking tools.
Purchases
Cache Premium is sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment and manages your subscription; we never receive your payment details. The app only checks with Apple whether your subscription is active. Apple's handling of that information is covered by Apple's Privacy Policy. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your device's Settings.
Deleting your data
You control your data. To erase one habit's check-off history, streak and belt progress, use Reset Progress on that habit. The change also syncs to iCloud and your other devices.
To delete all of your Cache data permanently:
- On your iPhone, open Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage (or Storage) → Cache → Delete Data from iCloud.
- Delete the app: press and hold the Cache icon, then tap Remove App → Delete App.
- Delete the app on any other device signed in to the same Apple Account.
We don't have a copy of your data to delete. Your purchase records stay with Apple, so you can still restore Premium later.
Children
Cache is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If we change how Cache handles information, we'll update this page and its effective date before the change takes effect.
